T H I Foundation mission is to
provide primary and secondary prevention of some morbid and even
deadly conditions, particularly endemic to the Caribbean and
Afro-American communities.
Its
means rely essentially on education, prevention, and medical care.
It
is in the concept of the Foundation that its funds come from grants
directed toward
the communities it targets, and also form fun-raising
activities.
These
funds are to be invested in educational, preventive, and therapeutic
projects executed by the officers of the Foundation, along with
professionals and other organizations hired to deliver the listed
services.
The
list of conditions under consideration encompasses, but is limited to:
Hypertension
Diabetes
mellitus
Cholesterol
Obesity
